Well, we have put a call out to friends an family for old robotic toys. Luckily we seem to have a number of people with broken or no-longer-needed bits and bobs that we can take apart and reassemble into something that resembles a working (hopefully) robot. We started with a dog...
PiWarsis an annual competition that takes place at Cambridge university. This year the competition will take place at the Cambridge Computer laboratory on the 5th of December. It is a challenge-based robotics competition in which Raspberry-Pi-controlled robots are created by teams and then compete in various challenges to earn points. There are prizes awarded at the end of the day. Last year Lutterworth College entered a robot and we won the aesthetics category and came second in the straight line speed test.
This year we are entering again - but we are hoping to make a new robot. If you are interested in getting involved, come and join us at Code Club in H19 on Tuesday's afterschool.
