Pi Wars - progress so far....

Well, we have put a call out to friends an family for old robotic toys.  Luckily we seem to have a number of people with broken or no-longer-needed bits and bobs that we can take apart and reassemble into something that resembles a working (hopefully) robot.

We started with a dog...

Then a car...

Then attempting to join them together

PiWars 2015

PiWars is an annual competition that takes place at Cambridge university. This year the competition will take place at the Cambridge Computer laboratory on the 5th of December.

It is a challenge-based robotics competition in which Raspberry-Pi-controlled robots are created by teams and then compete in various challenges to earn points. There are prizes awarded at the end of the day.

Last year Lutterworth College entered a robot and we won the aesthetics category and came second in the straight line speed test.

This year we are entering again - but we are hoping to make a new robot.

If you are interested in getting involved, come and join us at Code Club in H19 on Tuesday's afterschool.
